MoF amends Second Schedule of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975

Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Ministry of Finance (MoF) on May 21, 2022 has issued amendment to the Second Schedule of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. This has come into force on May 22, 2022.

The following has been amended namely: -

• In Sl. No. 43 which specify “Flat rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, plated or coated with zinc” the following has been substituted namely: -

“Flat rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, clad, plated or coated”

• In Sl. No. 48 which specify “Wire of iron or non-alloy steel” the following has been inserted namely: -

“1. 48A – Flat-rolled products of stainless steel, of a width of 600 mm or more.

2. 48B – Other bars and rods of stainless steel; angles, shapes and sections of stainless steel

3. 48C – Bars and rods, hot-rolled, in irregularly wound coils, of other alloy steel”
