Draft Karnataka Excise (Sale of Indian and Foreign Liquors) (Amendment) Rules, 2022

Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Government of Karnataka on September 21, 2022, issued the Karnataka Excise (Sale of Indian and Foreign Liquors) (Amendment) Rules, 2022 to further amend the Karnataka Excise (Sale of Indian and Foreign Liquors) Rules, 1968. 

The following amendment has been stated:

In rule 3, after sub-rule (15), the following proviso has been inserted, namely

“Provided that, any person holding a licence in Form CL-17 or Form CL-18 may open up to four additional counters for the convenience of the air passengers and bonafide users within the licensed premises with the approval of the Deputy Commissioner of Excise”.

These rules will come into force from the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette.

If any persons are likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration after fifteen days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. Objections and Suggestions will be considered by the Government.
