PCBA exempts the DG sets upto 1 MVA capacity from the purview of Consent Management of the Board

EHS ComplianceThe Pollution Control Board, Assam (PCBA) on November 05, 2022, issued a notification regarding the exemption of DG sets upto 1 MVA capacity from the purview of Consent Management of the Board with immediate effect subjected to the condition that the DG Sets shall be operated with proper acoustic enclosure and chimney of adequate height.

The Telecom Companies who are the major users of DG sets must comply with the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 and subsequently ensure that hazardous and other waste generated by them including Spent Oil and Used Batteries must be given to authorized actual users, waste collector or operator of disposal facility in accordance with the Central Pollution Control Board Guidelines. 

The Annual Reports and Manifest must be submitted in the prescribed format to the Board as per the governing Rules.
