The State Government of Meghalaya on July 18, 2020, has issued an order under Section 144 of CrPC imposes night curfew from July 20, 2020 to July 27, 2020 from 9 PM to 5 AM each day in all of the East Khasi Hills District including Shillong Urban Agglomeration, Civil Sub-Divisions of Sohra/Pynursla and C&RD Blocks.
The order shall not apply to:
• Security forces
• Medical teams on duty
• Wholesale and retail pharmacies
• Police and armed forces
• Fire and emergency services
• Public Works Department
• Public Health Engineering Department
• Press, print and electronic media
• Petrol pumps
