SEBI extends timeline for relaxations in Rights Issue Opening

Secretarial Complianceclass="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on July 24, 2020 has issued a circular for relaxations relating to procedural matters- Issues and Listing. SEBI had issued a circular on May 6, 2020 vide no. SEBI/HO/CFDDIL2/CIR/P/2020/78 for the relaxations in enforcement of the SEBI (Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirements), 2018 pertaining to Rights issue opening up to July 31, 2020.

SEBI has further extended the relaxation timeline to December 31, 2020.
