The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) on July 22, 2020 has issued a circular for the consolidated guidelines on Product Filing in Health Insurance Business.
The guidelines on Product filing in health Insurance Business were issued on July 29, 2016. The extant IRDAI (Health Insurance) Regulations, 2016 were notified in July 18, 2016 superseding (Health Insurance) Regulations, 2013. In consolidation of all the Guidelines or Circulars issued up to March 31, 2020 and in force as on date, this Consolidated Guidelines on Product filing in Health Insurance Business is issued.
These Consolidated Guidelines are applicable to all insurers (excluding specialized insurers) and the TPAs wherever applicable unless otherwise specified thereunder.
