Finance & Taxation Compliance The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on July 27, 2020 has issued a notification to amend the notification issued on May 14, 2016 vide Notification No. 66/2016- Customs (N.T.) which specifies the class of goods that shall be deposited in a special warehouse licensed under the Customs Act, 1962.

• Clause (1) which specifies the class of goods has been substituted in the said notification which states, “gold, silver, other precious metals and articles thereof”.
