The Labour Department of Telangana on November 06, 2020 has amended the Self-Certification and Third-Party Certification Scheme, 2020 for implementation of State Reforms Action Plan, 2020 to improve Ease of Doing Business.
The following amendments have been made:
• Paragraph 6, which specifies the conditions for factories to follow under the scheme, has been substituted, namely:
“All the factories under factories act, 1948 shall be liable to follow the scheme. The following conditions shall be fulfilled:
1. If any amount of license fees is due from the factory by the time of desiring to come under this scheme.
2. If there is any fatal accident in the factory during last five calendar years.
3. If there is any serious accident resulted in loss of limb(s) or fire incident or explosion or toxic release in the factory during last two calendar years.
• Paragraph 7, which specifies the periodicity for uploading of self-certification / third party certification, has been substituted, namely:
“Low risk factories shall complete it once in 5 years. Medium risk factories shall complete it once in two years and high risk shall complete it once in every year.”
