The Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) for the State of Goa and Union Territories on November 25, 2020 has issued Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for the State of Goa and Union Territories (Connectivity and Open Access in Intra-State Transmission and Distribution) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2020 to make the following amendments in the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for the State of Goa & Union Territories (Connectivity and open Access in Intra-State Transmission and Distribution) Regulations, 2017, namely;
• Definition of the following shall be amended in Regulation 2:-
o Average Power Purchase Cost
o Banking of Energy
o Billing cycle or billing period
o Captive Generating Plant
o Connection Agreement
o Feed-in-Tariff
o Financial year
o Inter-connection point
o Invoice
o Settlement Period
o Tariff Order
o Third Party Consumer
• Clause 4 of the principal Regulation 4.4 shall be omitted.
• Chapter 7A (titled Chapter 7A: Banking of Energy) and Regulations 7A.1 & 7A.2 shall be inserted.
• Regulation 7A.1 is regarding Terms and Conditions for Banking of Energy
• Regulation 7A.2 is regarding Commercial Settlement of Banking
