Lakshadweep declares Strict guidelines for containment zones in the Islands

EHS ComplianceThe Disaster Management Authorities of Lakshadweep on January 19, 2021 has issued a notification declaring certain areas in the island as containment zones and shall continue to remain containment zones until further orders. 

The following guidelines are to be followed: 

• Only essential activities shall be allowed. 

• There should be no movement of people outside the containment zones. 

• There shall be intensive surveillance in the island. 

• Testing shall be carried out according to the protocol. 

• Quick isolation of the patients should be done. 

• Awareness shall be created.
