MNRE issues Clarification for the extension in the schedule commissioning date of RE projects disruption due to COVID-19 lockdown

Industry Specific Complianceclass="MsoNormal">The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) on February 09, 2021 has issued an office memorandum for the extension in the schedule commissioning date of Renewable energy (RE) projects considering disruption due to the lockdown during COVID-19.

The ministry has already granted the extension of 5 months for the schedule commissioning. The authorities have further clarified that the extra extension can be provided in cases with reasonable reasons for delay. A proper due diligence shall be carried out before granting the extension.
