The Rajasthan Finance Department on February 15, 2021 has issued the Rajasthan Transparency in Public Procurement (Second Amendment) Rules, 2020 to further amend the Rajasthan Transparency in Public Procurement Rules, 2013.
The following amendments have been made: -
• Rule 42, which specifies, bid security, has been substituted namely: -
“But in Rajasthan Transparency in Public Procurement (Second Amendment) Rules, 2020 date of commencement till December 31, 2021.
• Rule 75 (2), which specifies Performance security has been substituted, namely:
Provided that, during the period commencing from the date of commencement of the Rajasthan Transparency in Public Procurement (Second Amendment) Rules, 2020 to 31.12.2021, the performance security shall be taken as under:
1. 2.5%, or as may be specified in the bidding documents, of the amount of supply order in case of procurement of goods and services and 3% of the amount of work order, in case of procurement of works.
2. 0.5% of the amount of quantity ordered for supply of goods, in case of Small-Scale Industries of Rajasthan.
3. 1% of the amount of supply order, in case of sick industries, other than Small Scale Industries, whose cases are pending before the Board of Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR).
