The Labour Department of Kerala on March 30, 2021 has declared the Paid holiday for the employees of Private enterprises and Private and Public Industrial undertaking, all the shop and commercial establishment under Kerala Shop and Commercial establishment Act, 1960 on the day of poll that is April 6, 2021.
Employees including daily wages/casual workers who are ordinarily resident of the constituency where poll will be taken place and registered as an elector, in that constituency but served/employed in a industrial undertaking or an establishment located outside the constituency where he/she is resident have to be given the benefit of paid holiday on the day of poll.
