The Labour and Employment Department of Gujarat has issued the Draft Inter-State Migrant Workmen (regulation of employment and conditions of service) (Gujarat Amendment) Rules, 2021 to further amend the Inter-State Migrant Workmen (regulation of employment and conditions of service) (Gujarat) Rules, 1981.
The following amendments have been made:
• Rule 52 (2), which specifies the authentication guidelines, a new proviso has been inserted, namely:
“Provided that such authentication may not be required in case of electronic payment.”
All the persons likely to be affected thereby, and notice is hereby given that the said draft rules will be taken into consideration by the Gujarat Government after the expiry of 30 days from the date of publication of this notification in the official gazette. Any objection or suggestions shall be sent to the labour department, Gandhinagar before the expiry of the aforesaid period.
