The Department of Transport, Jharkhand on April 26, 2021 has declared that the vehicles permitted for carrying Oxygen for medical purposes should be treated at par with the Ambulance for carrying only oxygen, during such disaster and thereby such vehicles should be as the vehicle on emergency and disaster management duties for a period of one year from April 26, 2021.
Therefore, for the same purpose, provision of Rule 108(7) and Rule 199(3) of the Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989 will be applicable on the vehicle carrying Oxygen for medical purposes.
