The Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) on June 1, 2021 has issued the Mandatory seeding of Aadhaar Number for filing of ECR. It has been approved that the ECR shall be allowed to be filed for Aadhaar members who is seeded and verified with the UANs.
Therefore, the employees are allowed to file ECR only for the UNAs seeded with Aadhaar, to ensure that the members and the employees are not adversely affected in the transition phase. The following steps and measures should be followed by the field offices under the jurisdiction are as under: -
• All the employees need to be made aware of the mandatory filing of ECR with Aadhaar validated UANs.
• The Ros may conduct virtual conferences and make use of the social media handles to react out to maximum number of employees and subscribers.
• A nodal officer may appoint for coordination.
• Daily progress may be obtained from the field offices, to ensure close monitoring.
