The Telangana State Real Estate Regulatory Authority on June 6, 2021 has issued the extension in the timeline and revision of project registration validity for statutory compliances in the view of Covid-19 pandemic for further period of six months that is from March 15, 2021 to September 14, 2021.
Further, it has been decided under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 that: -
• For all the registered projects for which completion date is expiring on or after 15th March 2021, the period of validity of registration of projects shall further extended by another six months (i.e March 15, 2021 to September 14, 2021.
• For all the registered projects for which validity of extension and revision expiring on or after 15th March 2021, the period of validity of registration of projects shall be extended form March 15, 2021 to September 14, 2021.
• The promoters/developers/builders are not liable to pay any fee for the extension of registration of the registered projects as the Covid19 pandemic is a force majeure situation of its special kind.
