The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) on June 11, 2021 has issued Non-Levy of Electricity Duty (ED) in the Electricity Bills. It has been directed to comply with the mentioned instructions which are as follows: -
• Authority to allow ED/IDF exemption to all categories of new connection to field offices (except SE/Dy.CE/DS) is withdrawn.
• ED/IDF exemption shall be levied to all the new connections with the approval of worthy CMD, PSPCL through the ID of SE/Dy.CE/DS concerned only (except in those cases where ED exemption notification has been issued by Govt. of Punjab).
• ED exemption shall be applied through the ID od concerned SE/Dy.CE/DS only in the those cases where ED exemption notification has been issued by Govt. of Punjab.
