The Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department (Gujarat) on July 12, 2021 has issued the Gujarat Essential Articles (Licensing, Control and Stock Declaration) (Amendment) Order, 2021 to further amend issued the Gujarat Essential Articles (Licensing, Control and Stock Declaration) Order, 1981 to comply with the notification no.S.O. 2674(E) of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
The following amendments have been made:
All Pulses put together (except Moong) , for a period up to 31st October 2021
• Wholesaler: 200 MT (subject to condition that there should not be more than 100 MT of one variety)
• Retailer: 5 MT
• Millers: Stock limits will be last 3 months production or 25% of annual installed capacity, whichever is higher.
• Importers:
1. Stock limit applicable to wholesaler will also apply to importers for stocks held in stock / imported prior to 15th May 2021.
2. For stocks imported after 15th May 2021, stock limit applicable to wholesaler, will apply after 45 days from date of customs clearance.
• In Schedule I part 1, “Entry B” has been Inserted, namely:
“B. All Pulses put together (except Moong)”
