The State Government of Jharkhand on July 07, 2021 has issued the Jharkhand Electricity Duty (Amendment) Act, 2021 to further amend the Bihar Electricity Duty Act, 1948.
The following amendment have been made namely-
• Amendment in Section 3
After sub-section (1) of Section 3, a proviso shall be added in the following manner-
“Provided further that, the Government may, by notification, add to or amend or alter any of the categories or rates in the Schedule appended to this Act.”
• Amendment in the Electricity Duty Schedule (Rate of Electricity Duty) appended to the Act.
The Electricity Duty Schedule (Rate of Electricity Duty) appended to the Act shall be substituted as per the notification.
