Labour ComplianceThe State Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 2, 2021 has issued the amendment in the Madhya Pradesh Child Labour (prohibition and Regulation) Rules, 1993. 

The amendment in the Madhya Pradesh Child Labour (prohibition and Regulation) Rules, 1993 are as follows: -

• In Rule 1(1) which specifies “These rules may be called The Madhya Pradesh Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Rules, 1993, has been substituted. 

• In Rule 2(a) which specifies “(a) "Act" means the Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act 1986”, has been substituted. 

• In Rule 2 which specifies “Definition”, the following clauses has been inserted. 

• (da) ‘Fund’ means Child and Adolescent Rehabilitation Fund constituted under section 14B(1) of the Act. 

• (db) ‘Inspector’ means a inspector appointed by the State Government under Section 17. 

• (dc) ‘Municipality’ means an institution of self Government constituted under article 234q of the constitution

• (dd) ‘Panchayat’ means Panchayat’ constituted under article 234B of the constitution. 

• (g) words and expressions used in these rules but not defined therein and defined in the Act, shall have the same meanings as assigned to them in the Act. 

• In Rule 2A, 2B & 2C which specifies “Awareness on Prohibition of employment of child and adolescents in contravention of Act”, “Child to help his family without affecting education”, “Child to work as an artist”, has been inserted. 

• In Rule 4A which specifies “Hours of Work”, has been inserted. 

• Form C which is specified under Rule 2C(1) (b), has been inserted.
