The Finance Department of Jammu and Kashmir on September 16, 2021 has revised the dearness allowance for the Government employees who were drawing their pays as per the 6th CPC.
The existing dearness allowance is 164% of the basic pay and the revised dearness allowance will be 189% of the basic pay which shall come into effect from July 01, 2021.
The increase subsumes the additional instalments arising on January 01 2020, July 01, 2020 and January 01, 2021.The rate of Dearness Allowance for the period from January 01 2020 till June 30, 2021 shall remain at 164%.
The payment of Dearness Allowance involving a fraction of 50 paisa and above shall be rounded to the next higher rupee and the fraction of less than 50 paisa shall be ignored.
