The Department of Social Welfare, Goa on October 14, 2021 has issued Draft Goa Rights of Persons with Disabilities Amended Rules, 2021 to further amend the Goa rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2018.
The amendment in the Goa rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2018 are as follows: -
• Rule 16 which specifies “Qualification for appointment of State Commissioner”, has been substituted.
• Rule 18 which specifies “Term of the State Commissioner”, has been substituted.
The Objections and Suggestions said draft rules will be taken into consideration by the Government after expiry of a period of 15 days from October 14, 2021 which may Director, Directorate of Social Welfare at 18th June Road, Panaji-Goa.
