The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on November 25, 2021 has issued the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (Ninth Amendment) Order, 2021 to further amend the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003.
In the Schedule VI to the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003- (i) Against serial number 564, relating to “Persea americana (Avocado)” in column (3) against the entry (v) regarding “Fresh Fruit for Consumption”, after the existing entries the following entries in columns (4), (5) and (6) shall respectively be inserted, namely:
