The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on November 29, 2021 has issued Master Circular for Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). To ensure that the users have access to all the applicable circulars in one place.
The circulars included in the master circular are namely:
• Online Filing System for REITs
• Guidelines for public issue of units of REITs
• Disclosure of financial information in offer document for REITs
• Continuous Disclosures and Compliances by REITs
• Participation by Strategic Investor(s) in REITs
• Guidelines for issuance of debt securities by REITs
• Guidelines for preferential issue and institutional placement of units by listed REITs
• Guidelines for rights issue of units by a listed REIT
• Encumbrance on units of REIT
• Manner and mechanism of providing exit option to dissenting unit holders
