The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) on February 21, 2022 has issued a notification to inform that the “Prior approval of Central Government under section 68(1) of Electricity Act, 2003 for installation of overhead transmission lines” has successfully been integrated on the National Single Window System (NSWS), which is a digital platform for guidance of investors to identify and to apply for approvals as per their business requirements.
CEA requested all the entities applying for prior approval for installation of overhead transmission line under section 68(1) of Electricity Act, 2003 to Central Electricity Authority. to submit their application along with all the necessary documents on the NSWS portal available on the following weblink: https://www.nsws.gov.in/
Also, the present process being followed by CEA for grant of prior approval under Section 68(1) of Electricity Act, 2003, would also be followed for next 2 to 3 months till the online process stabilizes.
Hence, the applicants are requested to apply through NSWS portal as well as follow the present process being followed for applying for prior approval under section 68(1) of Electricity Act, 2003.
