CBIC amends notification fixing tariff values of certain imported goods

Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on March 8, 2022 has issued amendment to Notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.), dated the 3rd August, 2001 which specifies “fixation of tariff values in respect of certain imported goods”.

The following amendments has been made namely: -

• Table-1 has been substituted, it consists of the following items namely: -

1. Crude Palm Oil

2. Palm Oil 1420

3. Others – Palm Oil

• Table-2 has been substituted, it consists of the following items namely: -

1. Gold, in any form, in respect of which benefit is availed.

2. Silver, in any form, in respect of which the benefit is availed.

• Table-3 has been substituted, it consists of the following items namely: -

1. Areca nuts
