The Ministry of Mines on March 15, 2022 has issued the Minerals (Other than Atomic and Hydro Carbons Energy Minerals) Concession Amendment Rules, 2022 to further amend the Minerals (Other than Atomic and Hydro Carbons Energy Minerals) Concession Rules, 2016. This has come into force on March 15, 2022.
The following has been amended namely: -
• Rule 45 which specify “Formula for calculating average sale price for metallurgical grade Bauxite to be used in alumina and aluminium extraction, Limestone, Tungsten” has been substituted namely: -
“Formula for calculating average sale price for metallurgical grade Bauxite to be used in alumina and aluminium extraction, Limestone, Tungsten and other minerals”
• Rule 45(4) has been inserted namely: -
“The specified formula shall be used by Indian Bureau of Mines for arriving at the average sale price of Glauconite and Potash”
