The Consumer Affairs, Food & Civil Supplies Department, Andhra Pradesh on May 5, 2022 has issued Notification regarding Establishment of the Mediation Cell.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Mediation Cell shall be attached to the A.P State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Vijayawada and in each of the 17 District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions in the State of A.P and headed by the President of the respective Consumer Commissions.
• The Mediation Cell shall have a panel of mediators, consisting of such number of mediators, as may be decided by the president, who shall be selected on the recommendations of a Selection Committee consisting of the President and a member of that Commission.
