The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) has issued Notification regarding the Prohibition on Manufacture, Import, Stocking, Distribution, Sale and Use of Single Use Plastic. This is in effect from July 1, 2022.
• The following Single Use Plastics has been banned namely: -
“Ear buds with plastic sticks, Plastic sticks for balloons, Plastic flags, Candy sticks, Ice cream sticks, Polystyrene (Thermocol) for decoration, Plates, Cups, Glasses, Forks, Spoons, Knives, Straw, Trays, Wrapping/packing films around sweet boxes, Invitation cards, Cigarette packets, Plastic/PVC banners less than 100 microns and Stirrers.”
