The Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO) on May 26, 2022 has issued Notification regarding submission of additional documents for Import of CNG Cylinders from Foreign Origin.
The Indian Importers of CNG cylinders are advised to upload the following documents in addition to the documents being submitted towards grant of license namely: -
• All batch test reports shall invariably show the photographic image of the burst test clearly.
• The Heat treatment report shall show the Time and Temperature achieved in each zone of furnace and Temperature Versus time graph for Heat Quenching and Tempering for each batch.
• Pressure Versus Time curve for cyclic test in accordance with the relevant provisions of the code of manufacture of cylinders
• Approval number of this office for manufacture of cylinders and date shall be mentioned in every batch test report.
• Copy of Type approval certificate number and its validity.
• Raw material suppliers’ name as mentioned in type approval shall be mentioned in the batch test report.
• CCE’s approval No. with date, manufacturer order No. and purchaser order No. shall be mentioned in the batch test report.
• An undertaking stating that the CNG cylinders were duly manufactured in accordance with the code of manufacture under the approved TPIA obtained from the manufacturer shall be uploaded.
