The Ministry of Textiles on June 06, 2022, has issued the Jute Bags (Quality Control) Order, 2022.
The amendment are as follows: -
• Goods or articles shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standard shall bear the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards as per Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations,2018.
• The Bureau of Indian Standards will be the certifying and enforcing authority in respect of the goods or articles.
• Any person who contravenes the provisions of this Order shall be punishable under the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act,2016.
• Specifications of the goods and articles with Indian Standard and Title of Indian Standard are specified in the document attached.
It will come into force with effect from the date of issuance of the above Order.
