Labour Compliance The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoL&E) on June 16, 2022 has issued Notification declaring the services engaged in the industry of defence establishments to be a public utility service. This shall come into force from June 24, 2022.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The Central Government hereby declares the services engaged in the industry of defence establishments to be a public utility service for the purposes of The Industrial Disputes Act, 1947

• This will be in force for a period of six months with effect from June 24, 2022.
