The Department of Urban Development, Goa on June 16, 2022 has issued the Goa Municipalities (Amendment) Rules, 2021 to further amend the rules as specified in the Schedule hereto framed under the said Act, namely:—
• The Goa, Daman and Diu Municipalities (Conduct of Business) Rules, 1969.
• The Goa, Daman and Diu Municipalities (President’s and other Councillors Emoluments) Rules, 1970.
• The Goa, Daman and Diu Municipalities (Consolidated Property Tax) Rules, 1971.
• The Goa, Daman and Diu Municipalities (Taxation Bye-laws Local Republication) Rules, 1971.
• The Goa, Daman and Diu Municipalities (Cattle-Pounds) Rules, 1971.
• The Goa, Daman and Diu Municipalities (Other Matter in Bye-Laws Concerning Discretionary Taxes) Rules, 1971.
• The Goa, Daman and Diu Municipalities (Writing off of Irrecoverable Tax, Fee and Dues) Rules, 1971.
• The Goa, Daman and Diu Municipalities (Tax on Advertisements Other than Advertisements Published in the Newspapers) Rules, 1971.
• The Goa, Daman and Diu Municipalities (Discount and Interest in Respect of Municipalities Dues) Rules, 1971.
• The Goa, Daman and Diu Municipalities Account Code, 1972.
• The Goa, Daman and Diu Municipalities (Common Cadre of Municipal Engineers) Rules, 1973.
• The Goa, Daman and Diu Municipalities (Sale of Distrained or Attached Moveable and Immovable Property) Rules, 1974.
• The Goa, Daman and Diu Municipalities Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ (Ministerial and Non-Ministerial, Non- Gazetted) Posts Recruitment Rules, 1986.
• The Goa, Daman and Diu Municipalities (Competent Authorities for Granting Technical Sanction) Rules, 1979.
• The Goa, Daman and Diu Municipalities (Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments) Tax Rules, 1979.
The words Daman and Diu shall be omitted from the abovesaid rules.
