The Government of Puducherry on June 03, 2022 has issued Notification Mandating applications for Registration and Renewal of Licence for Factories under the Factories Act, 1948 through online mode only. This has come into force on June 03, 2022.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The following services of Registration and Renewal of License for Factories are to be provided through online mode only:
1. The mode of access for Registration and Renewal of Licence for Factories under the Factories Act, 1948 is Online Portal to be accessed through the website of Labour Department, Puducherry.
• The services shall be availed through online mode only to eliminate the need to submit the applications physically, payment of fees for the services and track their status in each stage. The final certificate can be downloaded from the online portal anytime.
• The present practice of issuing signed copy of such Certificate(s) is dispensed with, except those already applied and under issue with this office.
