WDRA determines agricultural commodities comply with the qualitative specifications

Industry Specific ComplianceThe Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA) on July 08, 2022, determines that the agricultural commodities specified in the Table below shall be stored in a registered warehouse, 

Name of the commodity- 

1. Frozen Green Peas

2. Frozen French beans

3. Frozen Cauliflower

4. Frozen Spinach

The commodities specified in the said Table shall comply with the qualitative specifications or standards of the Bureau of Indian Standards or AGMARK or Food Safety and Standards Authority of India:  Provided that in case, the Bureau of Indian Standards or the AGMARK or the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India standards do not exist for those commodities, quality standards laid down by the Central Government or the State Governments or the governing bodies shall be applicable.

For the commodities requiring chemical or allied laboratory analysis, all AGMARK laboratories, all accredited laboratories notified by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration, and laboratories recognized by the Bureau of Indian Standards and Food Safety and Standards Authority of India are authorized for laboratory testing.  

The Central Government or the State Government laboratories and other laboratories recognized by them may also conduct testing of commodities.
