The Government of Telangana on June 30, 2022, referring to the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, issued a Notification, dated August 12, 2021, amending Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 which mandated the banning of Identified Single Use Plastic (SUP) Items with effect from July 01, 2022and prescribed minimum thickness of carrying bags amends for Implementation of Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 and amendments thereof and Elimination of Single Use Plastics in the State, through this Notification from July 01, 2022.
The said Notification is applicable to the entire State of Telangana
