The Ministry of Civil Aviation on July 21, 2022, issued a notification regarding the airfare structure which has to be displayed on their websites by the airlines under the provision of sub-rule (2) of Rule 135 of Aircraft Rules, 1937, which specifies “Tariff rates”.
The price of a ticket is determined by the market and it is not set nor controlled by the government. Prices for airline tickets typically fluctuate based on market forces. In keeping with the global standard, airline pricing is divided into various "buckets" or Reservation Booking Designators (RBDs). Tickets booked in advance are significantly less expensive than those bought close to the date of travel because of dynamic fare pricing.
