Commercial ComplianceThe Finance Department of Rajasthan on August 02, 2022, issued a notification regarding the immovable property executed in favour of a senior citizen the stamp duty shall be reduced and charged at the rate of 5 percent and the registration fees shall be reduced and charged at the rate of 0.5 percent. 

The following stamp duty of deeds have been reduced:

• conveyance deed

• lease deed issued/executed by the State Government, Local Authorities, Public Enterprises or any other Government Bodies in consequence of allotment or sale

Explanation:

• A citizen who has completed the age of 60 years shall be deemed to be a senior citizen.

• Where such deed is executed in favour of a married couple jointly, the benefit of exemption under this notification shall be available if at least one of them has completed the age of 60 years.
