The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoL&E) on August 02,2022, issued a notification regarding the services involved in the industrial undertakings under the Ministry of Finance (MoF) which are covered under different items of the First Schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947), shall be declared as public utility services.
The following industrial undertakings have been stated namely:
• India Government Mints, Kolkata, Noida, Mumbai and Hyderabad (covered under item No.11)
• India Security Press, Nashik (covered under item No. 12)
• Security Printing Press, Hyderabad (covered under item No. 12)
• Security Paper Mill, Hoshangabad (covered under item No. 21)
• Services in the Bank Note Press, Dewas (covered under item No. 22)
• Currency Note Press, Nashik Road (covered under item No. 25)
The public utility services are extended by 6 months which shall come into force from July 30,2022.
