The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on August 03,2022, issued a notification regarding the imposition of anti-dumping duty (ADD) on imports of Opal Glassware, which falls under headings 7013 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), originating in, or exported from, the other countries and imported into India.
The following have been concluded, namely:
• There is continued and significant dumping of subject goods from subject countries despite duties
• The domestic industry is vulnerable to injury from dumped imports in case of cessation of duties
• The information on record shows likelihood of continuation of dumping and consequent injury to the domestic industry, in case anti-dumping duty is allowed to cease, and has recommended continued imposition of an anti-dumping duty on imports of the subject goods, originating in, or exported from the subject countries

This notification shall be valid for a period of 5 years from the date of its publication.
