The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) on August 05, 2022 has issued notification regarding centrally sponsored "PM Formalisation of Micro food processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme.
The following has been stated namely: -
• This is for providing financial, technical and business support for setting up / upgradation of micro food processing enterprises in the country
• The scheme is operational for a period of five years from 2020-21 to 2024-25 with an outlay of Rs. 10,000 Crore
• The following assistance shall be available under the scheme namely: -
1. Support to Individual / Group Category Micro Enterprise
2. Support to SHGs for seed capital
3. Support for Common Infrastructure
4. Branding and Marketing Support
5. Capacity Building
