The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) on August 10, 2022, issued a notification to remove the fare bands within which the airlines should charge the fare. The order no. 02/2020 dated May 21, 2020 was last modified vide order no. 26/2021 dated September 18, 2021 regarding fare capping operational during calibrated opening of the aviation sector in the country.
The airlines/airport operators shall ensure that the guidelines to contain the spread of COVID are strictly adhered to and COVID appropriate behaviour is strictly followed during the travel.
The notification shall come into force from August 31, 2022.
