The Ministry of Labour & Employment, New Delhi on August 12, 2022 has issued revised rates of VDA for employees employed in Construction or Maintenance of Roads or Runways or in Building Operations including laying down underground electric, wireless, Radio, Television, Telephone, Telegraph and Overseas Communication Cables and Similar other Underground Cabling Work, Electric Lines, Water Supply Lines and Sewerage Pipe Lines.
The following has been stated as the VDA (Table 1) namely: -
• Highly skilled Category of workers in Area A – Rs. 226/Per Day
• Unskilled Category of workers in Area B – Rs. 144/Per Day
• Skilled Category in Area C – Rs. 162/Per Day
The following has been stated as the VDA (Table 2) namely: -
• Unskilled Category of workers in Area B – 437+144=581
• Skilled Category worker in Area C – 494+162=656
