Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Education (MoE) on August 18, 2022, issued a notification to allow the use of Aadhaar authentication services for the purpose of the Student, Teacher, and Teacher Educator Registry and the Ministry has been authorized by the Central Government.

The following purposes have been stated, namely:

• All education services, data, and applications are held at multiple levels - namely National, State, and local levels, in a decentralised manner, following the principle of minimalism at each level.

• A set of interoperable electronic registries at appropriate level (National, State and school) will be enabled based on a common registry scheme that allows seamless information interchange between various systems.

• Students or parents or teachers shall be in full control of their educational data records as per data empowerment principles in a machine-readable, digitally-signed, printable, and portable manner.
