The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (MOSJ&E) on August 23, 2022, issued a notification to revise the scheme of the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR). The objective of this scheme is to create awareness and educate people about the ill effects of alcoholism and substance abuse and for providing a whole range of community-based services for identification, motivation, counseling, de-addiction, after care, and rehabilitation for Whole Person Recovery (WPR) of substance and alcohol users.
The revised scheme shall come into force from August 03, 2022.
