The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers (MoCF) on August 24, 2022 has issued Notification to Fix the price of certain drugs under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The manufacturer may add Goods and Services Tax only if they have paid actually or it is payable to the Government on the specified retail price.
• The retail price for a pack of the formulation given in the notification shall arrive at the concerned manufacturer per the specified retail price.
• Every retailer and dealer shall display price list and the supplementary price list, on a conspicuous part of the premise where the business is carried.
