Labour Compliance The Labour & Skills Department, Kerala on May 19, 2022 has issued amendment to the Kerala Shops and Commercial Establishments Workers' Welfare Act, 2006.

The following has been amended namely: -

• Section 4(6) of the act specifies the rates determined as part of the fund and the replenishment of the grant specified may be reviewed by the Government once in three years by publication in the Gazette, taking into account the expenses required for the implementation of the project.

• The rate is now amended to Rs. 50 from Rs. 20.
