The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on August 31, 2022, published the Draft Food Safety and Standards (Advertising and Claims) First Amendment Regulations, 2022 to amend further the Food Safety and Standards (Advertising and Claims) Amendment Regulations, 2021, inviting objections and suggestions from persons likely to be affected thereby, within a period of sixty days from the date on which the copies of the Official Gazette containing the said notification were made available to the public.
The following has been amended-
•In the Food Safety and Standards (Advertising and Claims) Regulations, 2018, for Schedule II A the following Schedule shall be substituted, namely ―SCHEDULE – IIA List of Claims for Edible Vegetable Oils [See regulation 7(2A)]
They shall come into force on March 01, 2023.
