EHS Compliance The Pollution Control Board, Assam on August 31, 2022 has issued Notification regarding Packaged Drinking Water Manufacturing Units.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Packaged Drinking Water Manufacturing units fall under the definition of Producers, Importers and Brand Owners (PIBOs) as per the Waste Management Rules, 2016.

• All PIBOs are required to obtain Registration through the centralized EPR portal, Hence all Packaged Drinking Water Manufacturing units are directed to apply for registration within 15 days from August 15, 2022.
